Welcome!   EverGreen Quilters is committed to giving encouragement to beginners, challenge to seasoned quilters, and inspiration to all who seek self-expression through quilting.  The group is a non-profit organization, and there is a strong emphasis on community service.   You can come to as many meetings a month as you like; many people have a “favorite” meeting they attend regularly.

Text Box: Our activities:
Monthly Business Meeting   (First Tuesday)
· We make plans, form committees, make decisions, and hear what is happening with the different activities and sub-groups.   We have a member show and tell at the end and go out to lunch afterward (optional).
Monthly Program Meeting  (Second Tuesday)
· We have both paid and volunteer speakers, trunk shows , videos or slide shows on a wide variety of quilting/textile topics.
Monthly Community Service Meeting   (Third Tuesday)
· We make crib quilts which are given to newborns of needy mothers and others.  We also make lap quilts for the Mt. Baker Kidney Center.
Here are the dimensions of the quilts going out at this time: For the Kidney Center, make the quilt around 44 x 54 inches. For a baby quilt, make it at least 38 x 40 inches. If you want to make quilt tops for donation, feel free to do so at home and bring them to our monthly community service meeting, we’ll finish them and deliver them!
Monthly Study Group   (Fourth Tuesday)
· We explore different quilting techniques and textile projects to help us all learn and expand our creativity.
Workshops   (Fifth Tuesday)
· Workshops are planned for our members on 5th Tuesdays. There may be a fee, and participation is optional.   In the year of a quilt show , we may use these days to make items for the group to sell at the show in our “boutique.”
Friendship Blocks
Friendship blocks are made by any and all members for one member at a time, about 4 times per year. Participation is voluntary.
Retreat and Field Trips
·  We have a yearly retreat that non members can join in on at Camp Brotherhood in Skagit County.  A weekend of sewing and fun, all meals provided!  From time to time we take a bus or van to see outstanding quilt shows, benefits, and other events of special interest to quilters.
Quilt Show

About EverGreen

Quilters

In the late 1970’s, a group of women entered a whole new world of quilting.  The small group that gathered at the Quilt Basket to work on individual projects, share ideas, and learn new techniques became EverGreen Quilters.  In 1981 the group was chartered as chapter No. 315 of the National Quilting Association.
